It is always such a joy to be in the delivery room. I so look forward to these amazing sessions and love the opportunity of documenting such an incredible journey.
And this one was no different, such a joy. This little lady had us all on pins and needles for weeks. We were expecting her to make her grand entrance a few weeks before her due date but she was too cozy and waited to be induced.

I got the call early in the morning that the induction had started. The nurses estimated that baby would not be here until at least dinner time, if not midnight. Labor progressed nice and slow and mom got some rest…. until baby Lily decided she had waited long enough and it was time.
Sara dilated from a 4 to a 10 in about an hour and had to wait for the anesthesiologist to get out of surgery and give her the epidural… twice.

The contractions came fast and hard but she was still in control but ready for some relief.
She had a wonderful support system around her, cheering her on, comforting her, supporting her but we were all so happy for her once the epidural finally kicked in.

Baby Lily had an older brother waiting anxiously in the waiting room. Lots of texting, many updates, and tons of support came from him as we all waited for the little lady to make her arrival.

And finally the time came and the pushing began. Sara was a champ and did exactly as she was told. Dad counted every push and I am pretty sure tried to push for her a few times.

And then she made it.
Sweet little Lilianna had finally joined the party and she was as perfect as ever.

Dad loved and adored both of his girls. Lots of love and adoration for mom and absolute awe over his little baby girl.

And Sara couldn’t be a better mommy. She was so excited to snuggle her little lady, it was a joy to witness.

There is nothing like watching a family grow. So much love and joy, it doesn’t get much better than that.

Welcome to the world little Lilianna.
You sure are loved.
